This script is based on the story by Sherwood Anderson and is part of his "men and horses" series ala the PBS production of "I'm a Fool." A young man reaches a crossroads in the development of his identity and sexuality while he is working as a racetrack groom at the turn of the century around the central states' racetrack circuit.
