Magdalen is a story about Mary Magdalen and her relationship with Yeshua, more commonly known as Jesus. Magdalen, wrongly depicted as a penitent whore, bore Yeshua’s child and was one of his greatest disciples. Struggling amongst misogynistic peers, she shone above the other disciples and won a special place in the heart of Yeshua. She emulated his teachings of compassion and peace much to the chagrin of Peter, especially. After the crucifixion, she fled to Egypt for protection of herself and her child. Christianity, in its infant stage, was left at the hands of Peter and Paul. Yeshua’s teachings were ultimately corrupted and changed beyond recognition for the profit and power of the early church. Historical Drama.
