Imagine for a moment youíre 21 years old, a star quarterback, youíve got a beautiful girlfriend on her way to med school, and youíre being touted as a first round draft pick. Millions of dollars await you. Then, in an instant itís all taken away.

For Guy Mason, the devastation of such an ordeal is nearly too much to bear. That is, until he decides giving up will be harder than the fight to get his life back.

Guy is the consummate young black male. Smart, handsome, and driven to excel: in sports, that is. He nearly reaches top until a devastating injury derails his career. Faced with few options, Guy makes a decision that will propel him into an arena far more challenging than any opposing defense heís ever seen. He enrolls in a predominantly white law school only to find out heís the beneficiary of a rather unpopular affirmative action admissions program.

CIVIL PROCEDURES is a riveting contemporary drama following the trail of a young man struggling to regain his identity and self-worth while making his way through the dreaded first year of law school. Itís a story of triumph, courage, and self-belief as Guy learns the art of starting over when everything around you is shattered.
